Elfland Nursery continues the work of Anderson’s Seed Co., a long-established California seed supplier with decades of history serving growers both domestically and internationally. Over the years, the Anderson family became well known throughout the horticultural world for offering a wide range of ornamental, palm, eucalyptus, and specialty seeds.
Today, Elfland Nursery is building on that foundation with a more modern and hands-on approach to seed supply.
Located in Elfin Forest, California, our 20-acre property is both a working nursery and an active seed-growing and collection site. Many of the seeds we offer are harvested directly from our own trees and plants, while others are carefully collected through trusted long-term growing relationships and field harvests throughout California and beyond. From collection and cleaning to storage, testing, and inventory management, the entire process is handled directly by our team.
As the horticultural industry continues to evolve, we believe professional-quality seed supply should be more accessible than it traditionally has been. While Anderson’s Seed Co. primarily focused on wholesale and broker relationships, Elfland Nursery works with a broader range of customers — from brokers and large commercial nurseries to smaller businesses, collectors, and specialty growers looking for reliable bulk seed supply without unnecessary barriers.
A major part of our current work is focused on improving consistency, transparency, and long-term reliability throughout the seed program. One important step in that process is the development of our in-house germination testing program. By testing seeds ourselves under real growing conditions, we are able to provide more practical information while continuing to improve the quality and reliability of the seeds we offer.
Elfland Nursery ships seeds worldwide and regularly works with international customers. We are experienced with export coordination and are available to communicate in English, Spanish, and German.
Our goal is straightforward: to continue a respected seed legacy while adapting it for the next generation of growers — combining decades of industry knowledge with a more transparent, accessible, and hands-on approach to professional seed supply.
