Eucalyptus ‘Kira Supreme’ is a naturally occurring dwarf selection of Eucalyptus pulverulenta, discovered on our farm. This variety was identified by a grower named Gene Kira, who noticed that certain plants expressed a compact, dwarf growth habit. The name “Kira Supreme” was chosen in his honor.
This is not a hybrid or cross, but a natural genetic variation (sport) of Eucalyptus pulverulenta, where some plants develop smaller, more compact growth. Similar to other dwarf forms like “Baby Blue,” this trait occurs occasionally in seedlings rather than through intentional breeding.
In appearance, ‘Kira Supreme’ is comparable to Eucalyptus pulverulenta types, with round, silvery foliage. However, it offers several practical advantages for growers:
- Thicker leaves
- No drooping tips after cutting
- Can be harvested at any time without loss of quality
These characteristics make it especially well suited for cut foliage production and floral use, where consistency and handling quality are important.
This listing is intended for professional growers and customers seeking dependable propagation material.

Cultivation and Use
Eucalyptus ‘Kira Supreme’ is well suited for cut foliage production, floral use, and ornamental planting. Its compact growth and improved leaf structure make it particularly valuable for growers who require consistent quality and flexible harvesting schedules.
Like other pulverulenta types, it performs best in full sun with well-draining soil and is drought tolerant once established. Its ability to be harvested at any time without drooping makes it a reliable option for commercial foliage growers.
