Washingtonia × filibusta (Hybrid Fan Palm) - 1000 Seeds - Bulk

Washingtonia × filibusta, commonly known as the Hybrid Fan Palm, is the recognized hybrid between the California Fan Palm, Washingtonia filifera, and the Mexican Fan Palm, Washingtonia robusta.

The hybrid has long been recognized in the nursery and landscape trade and was formally described botanically in 2014. Plants typically display characteristics intermediate between the two parent species, combining the substantial appearance of Washingtonia filifera with the more slender form associated with Washingtonia robusta.

Washingtonia × filibusta develops a solitary trunk topped by a crown of large, palmate fan leaves. It is used extensively as a landscape palm in warm and arid regions, particularly for avenues, streetscapes, commercial landscapes, and large-scale specimen plantings.

As a hybrid, seed-grown plants may show natural variation in appearance and characteristics, with individual plants potentially displaying a greater influence from one parent species than another.
