Wodyetia bifurcata, commonly known as Foxtail Palm, is a distinctive feather palm native to northern Queensland, Australia. It is prized for its exceptionally full, plumose foliage, with leaflets arranged around the frond to create the characteristic bushy appearance that gives the Foxtail Palm its name.

This elegant species develops a smooth, solitary trunk topped by a prominent crownshaft and a symmetrical crown of arching green fronds. Its clean architectural form and lush tropical appearance have made it a widely planted ornamental palm in warm-climate residential, commercial, resort, and streetscape landscapes.

Foxtail Palm is a relatively fast-growing palm under favorable conditions and performs best in warm climates with full sun and well-drained soil. It is considered a warm-climate palm, with established plants best suited to areas where temperatures generally remain above approximately 30°F.
